About Us

The International Tuberculosis Control Inc. (ITC) is a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. The organization was founded by Dr. Umahoin Russel, whose vision began while he was a student at Columbia University, writing his dissertation. Moved by the devastating impact of diseases around the world, Dr. Russel was deeply affected by the suffering he saw and wept as he realized the enormity of the problem.

Determined to make a difference, he vowed to take action. Recognizing that a single individual cannot tackle such widespread issues alone, he reached out to doctors and professionals from various backgrounds, forming a united front to combat the global challenges of HIV, AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), malaria, and prostate cancer. This collaboration led to the founding of ITC, which continues to work tirelessly toward improving global health outcomes.

Through collective effort and unwavering commitment, ITC has grown into a powerful force in the fight against these diseases, embodying Dr. Russel’s dream of making a lasting impact on global health.

Our Vision

Knowledge is power, and by sharing the most current information, we empower individuals to protect themselves against these diseases. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, and prevention is far more effective than treatment. Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to up-to-date, reliable information.

That said, it’s important to remember that any health decisions should be made in consultation with your healthcare provider. While ITC provides this information free of charge, we are not responsible for any outcomes based on the use of this information. We encourage you to seek professional medical advice for your specific health needs.
